Chuck Speed received the following letter on October 15, 2004 from Charles Stuart who is a descendant of the Stewarts of Gartnafueran. Charles made the decision to move his family from the State of Utah to Glasgow, Scotland just this past summer. Jared Olar and I had corresponded with Charles over the past year on our common Stewart research and we were both quite amazed when he made the decision to move himself and his family (as he described it) "back to the old homeland." Since he was raised in Georgia, we thought that he was moving back to Georgia, but were very surprised to learn that he meant he was moving to Scotland where he now works as an electrician. Charles doesn't have an e-mail address. We have always corresponded in writing. I have his permission to share this letter with all of you.
