In 1766,
After Henry’s death, his son,
George Home-Drummond continued the project eventually cultivating all 1500
acres of the Moss. By 1814, the
population of the Moss was 764 and included a school.
The Moss was divided into eight distinct settlements, listed
in the Table of Contents above. To view
